Optimum Development focuses on developing the skills and knowledge of your employees.
Virginia Maglio brings years of experience to the field of learning and development. She is a consultant, instructional designer, facilitator of programs, as well as manager of training projects. In her role as consultant with Optimum Development, she focuses on the development of skills at all levels of an organization with a focus on developing leaders. Using needs assessments to arrive at requirements, she creates learning solutions specific to the individual needs of each client and consistent with their overall business goals.
Prior to founding Optimum Development, she served as a Learning and Development Consultant at a major New England financial institution and an Instructional Designer in the telecommunications industry.

In addition to providing learning and development solutions for Optimum Development, Virginia serves as a consultant with other learning and development organizations. She is a facilitator and instructional designer for North Shore Community College’s Corporate Training Solutions, Middlesex Community College’s Corporate Education and Training and the Center for Business and Industry (CBI) at Worcester State University where her focus is on leadership development. At the Providers’ Council, an organization that supports human service agencies, she is responsible for developing and delivering their Supervision Series curriculum. As a consultant with EnVision Performance Solutions and Corwin Learning Associates, she has worked with a diverse group of large corporations in both instructional design and delivery. She also is a consultant for PeopleSmart High Impact Training, where she uses her engaging facilitation skills to deliver high impact programs. Virginia is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Virginia is a certified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ and a certified Online Virtual Trainer (with Training Magazine).

She holds a B.S. in Education from Bridgewater State University and an M.S. in Training and Development from Lesley University.
